An Interesting Fact About China
Food has a special meaning to the Chinese people. The "waste not, want not" ethos means that a surprising range and variety of plants and animals, and every part of a plant or animal is used. This has given rise to diversity in the regional cuisine, but to westerners it can be overwhelming - surprising, fantastic, delicious, horrifying or disgusting.
Holidays
Chinese people eat dumplings on New years day. They have a big dinner that consist of fried or white rice, shrimp, dumplings, fried vegatbles, soup, sushi & more on New Years.
Foods Eaten in America that Orignated in China
In America, there are over 40,000 Chinese restaurants. Majority of the food eaten in China are also cooked in America. Foods like fried rice, seasame chicken, orange chicken, egg rolls, etc. are examples.
A typical meal in the average chinese home would be of course rice. Our friends Ming & Lee that we visited cooked us up some delicious food! We ate white rice, braised chicken and a soup. They told us that their typical meal would be excatly what we ate. Some times they change up they chicken to shrimp.

Location and Climate of China
China is located in Southeast Asia along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean.
China's climate varies from bitter cold in winter to unbearable heat in summer.
